About Us
At Oasis Academy Leesbrook, we’re building a vibrant community where every child feels valued, inspired, and empowered. English is at the heart of that vision; it’s the subject that gives students the power to express themselves, to think critically, and to imagine worlds beyond their own.
We’re looking for an exceptional Teacher of English who can turn words into wonder and help our students write their own success stories.
Teaching English isn’t just about grammar and essays; it’s about unlocking creativity, sparking debate, and showing students the magic of language. One day you’re guiding them through Shakespeare’s tragedies, the next you’re exploring modern voices that challenge and inspire. It’s part storyteller, part coach, part motivator; and all about helping young people find their voice.
If you’re passionate about literature, language, and learning and ready to ignite a love for English that lasts a lifetime, we’d love to welcome you to our team.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons that spark curiosity and creativity.
- Guide students through classic and contemporary texts, helping them find their voice.
- Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in every learner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise achievement and aspirations.
- Contribute to the wider life of the academy, supporting enrichment and extracurricular activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
