The Role: As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring English language and literature lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons that are challenging, stimulating, and tailored to the needs of individual students. Inspiring a love for English language and literature, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Assessing student progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals. Differentiating instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, including those with special educational needs. Contributing to the development and implementation of the English curriculum, resources, and assessment strategies. Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive English department, sharing best practices and innovative teaching ideas. Participating in extracurricular activities, events, and school initiatives to enrich the educational experience for students.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject. Experience teaching English language and literature at Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5. A passion for English literature and language learning, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities. Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. A reflective and collaborative approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous professional development and improvement. The ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed.
