Teacher of Geography Full Time

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, committed and well qualified Teacher of Geography to join the Humanities Department at Saint Felix School.

The successful candidate should be able to teach Geography across the whole age and ability range, Year 7 to Year 13 including GCSE and A Level. The post holder will be expected to take part in the future development of the subject both within the curriculum and the extra-curricular programme.

Saint Felix School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for students aged from 2 to 18, located close to the glorious seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk coast. Our aim is to develop well-rounded students with the skills and the personality to make a success of their lives during and after their school years.

Academic excellence is central to life at Saint Felix School and we encourage all pupils to aspire to the highest possible standards and to exceed their expectations. Our success is demonstrated by impressive examination results at GCSE and A Level where the value-added scores are significant. The vast majority of our leavers go on to Higher Education.

We are looking for a Teacher of Geography who will be able to; • Deliver exciting and inspiring Geography lessons across the Senior school. • Deliver exciting and inspiring Geography lessons across the Senior school. The ideal candidate will have ability to teach A Level and GCSE • Actively support the co-curricular programme at Saint Felix. • Work with pupils of all ability and encourage pupils to develop and reach their potential in Geography.

This position would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT looking for their first teaching position. As a smaller school with a community culture, you will soon appreciate the warmth and sense of friendliness that embodies the institution.
