About the Role
King’s Academy Ringmer is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of History to deliver high-quality teaching and inspire students in our thriving secondary school. This fixed-term, maternity cover role offers an opportunity to:
- Foster a love for History and support students in reaching their full potential.

You will work closely with the History Department and wider school community to:
- Plan and deliver challenging, engaging lessons tailored to all abilities.
- Form a positive learning environment where students feel safe, motivated, and valued.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and historical knowledge.
- Monitor progress through effective assessment and feedback and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Contribute to school enrichment programmes and collaboratively improve teaching practices.
- Uphold the school’s values of Honesty, Faith, and Courage.
