About the School
Rugeley John Taylor School, part of John Taylor MAT, is proud to be establishing the only ‘all-through’ school within our Education Trust. Our doors opened to our first cohort of Year 7 students in September 2025. We are committed to delivering a 'gold standard' learning experience for the local community from early years through to Sixth Form.
With ongoing growth, we continue to uphold the defining characteristics of John Taylor MAT, making the next stages of our development exciting. We’re seeking dedicated and experienced educators to join a team that embodies high standards and a passion for educational excellence.
About the Role
A full-time Teacher of Mathematics is required to commence as soon as possible. The successful applicant will work closely with the founding teaching team, Executive Headteacher, and Assistant Headteacher to help build a rigorous and inspiring curriculum while ensuring all pupils receive a quality-first learning experience.
This role is part of a staged recruitment drive, gaining further vacancies later in the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics across relevant key stages while facilitating academic progress and filling gaps for all learners.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Provide risk-based learning opportunities for pupils with SEND and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm to differentiate education as the school and staff evolve.
- Take responsibility for monitoring and accountability of pupils’ progress.

Requirements and Skills
You will thrive in this role if you can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at relevant key stages (Primary/Early Years to Sixth Form).
- Behaviour management expertise to fostering constructive classroom environments.
- Understanding of inclusive practises, especially when supporting pupils with SEND or those in disadvantage.
- A proactive, responsible approach to student progress and pedagogy.
- Leadership and exemplary role modelling, inspiring, challenging, and motivating others.
