Derby College Group (DCG) are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Maths Teacher to join our Cross-College delivery team, supporting learners across both GCSE and Functional Skills Maths. We welcome applications from dedicated, motivated professionals who are passionate about delivering an exceptional learning experience to our students.

The position would have a start date of either September 2026 or January 2027 dependant on the successful candidate’s notice period.

The Opportunity

As a valued member of our Maths team, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to our 16–19 cohort. You’ll primarily teach GCSE Maths, with some delivery of Functional Skills Maths, supporting students from a wide range of educational backgrounds. Effective behaviour management strategies and a supportive teaching approach are essential, as your work will span across multiple curriculum areas.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative teacher with experience in delivering Maths to students. You will hold a degree in Maths, along with a recognised Level 5 or Level 6 teaching qualification such as a PGCE or CertEd, or be working towards completing this. Experience in teaching GCSE Maths is essential, and experience delivering Functional Skills Maths is desirable. Above all, you will bring passion, creativity, and a commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
