Salary: £32,916 to £51,048 (In line with your current pay scale)

Academics Canterbury is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school on the beautiful East Kent coast to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education to join their successful Humanities department from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate RE teacher who believes in developing students' understanding of different beliefs, cultures, and ethical issues while fostering respect, critical thinking, and open-minded discussion.
The Role
You will:
- Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire a love of learning.
- Contribute to a collaborative Humanities department committed to high standards and student success.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching Religious Education within UK secondary schools.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management.
- Is passionate about inclusive education and achieving outstanding outcomes for every student.
- Is committed to professional development and working as part of a supportive team.
