About The Role
As a Teacher at Park House School, you will deliver engaging and personalised lessons tailored to the diverse needs of our pupils. Your role is critical in helping young people build confidence, develop key skills, and re-engage with education through a therapeutic and creative approach.
You will work with pupils who may struggle in mainstream settings, requiring a flexible, supportive, and trauma-informed approach. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering personalised Maths and Science lessons
- Adjusting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
- Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
- Fostering a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Supporting both social, emotional, and academic development
About Park House School
Park House School is a specialist provision for 26 pupils aged 8–19, focusing on young people with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our mission is to create a therapeutic, safe, and structured learning environment where every pupil feels valued and empowered to reach their potential.

We are looking for a ** passionate, resilient teacher** who thrives in a supportive yet challenging environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths and Science lessons
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs
- Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress and development
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team (including therapists, SEN specialists, and pastoral staff)
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic growth
Requirements
Essential: ✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification ✔ Experience teaching Maths and/or Science (specialist provision a plus) ✔ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills ✔ Excellent communication and organisational abilities ✔ A flexible, child-centred approach to teaching ✔ Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare ✔ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Contract Details
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week (term time only)
- Location: School-based (Park House School )
- Salary: £31,689 – £37,932 per annum
- Contract Type: Full-time replacement role
