Fantastic opportunity! Aston-on-Trent Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are looking for a special person with great qualities to inspire our children to learn. Come and join our award‑winning school, where every member of staff is dedicated, enthusiastic, and deeply committed to every child’s success. We wish to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner who is dedicated to enabling pupils to achieve their personal best.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working with children across the school setting.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to children’s needs.
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare- including first aid duties.
  • Be creative and innovative.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
  • Be committed to promoting and upholding the school values and ethos.
  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs.
  • Is motivated and passionate to achieve the very best for the children in our care and make a genuine difference.
  • Uses initiative to assess and evaluate pupils’ needs.
  • Leading intervention groups.
