Summerbank Primary Academy wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching and Learning Practitioner to join our hardworking and committed team.

The successful candidate will:
- Understand the principles of child development, learning processes and barriers to learning
- Be committed to raising standards
- Hold a relevant qualification Level 3 or above
- Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour, whilst also understanding the underlying causes of behaviours that may present as challenging
- Understand the importance of providing a nurturing approach towards vulnerable pupils
- Be able to work as a member of a team, developing good working relationships with pupils and adults
- Use their own initiative while working independently
- Be able to communicate well with children, teachers and parents
- Be able to plan and implement (under guidance) effective strategies for pupils with a range of needs (learning, language, behavioural, emotional, social needs)
- Support all children with their learning including children with Special Educational Needs or other key groups
- Be an excellent practitioner
- Be adaptable and spontaneous
- Show a willingness to contribute to wider school life
