St Michael's C.E. Primary School is a welcoming and nurturing Church of England school where every child is encouraged to flourish academically, socially and spiritually. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for two pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential within a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Working under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo, you will:
- Provide tailored one-to-one support for two named pupils with EHCPs.
- Help pupils access the curriculum through personalised strategies and targeted interventions.
- Support pupils' communication, social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers and external professionals to ensure the pupils' needs are effectively met.
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience of working with primary-aged children, ideally including children with additional needs.
- Is patient, caring and able to build positive, trusting relationships with children.
- Has an understanding of supporting pupils with SEND and is willing to develop their knowledge through training.
- Is adaptable, resilient and able to respond positively to individual needs.
- Has excellent communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Will support and uphold the Christian vision and values of St Michael's C.E. Primary School.
