About the Role

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to:

  • Support children with barriers to learning, including:
    • Dyslexic profiles
    • Dyscalculia
    • Neurodivergence
  • Primarily work with KS2 pupils
  • Collaborate as part of a small team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience supporting children in a classroom (preferred but not required)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Child development
    • Children with differing needs and learning challenges
  • Ability to build relationships with:
    • Students
    • Staff
    • Parents
  • Proficiency in:
    • Maths
    • English
  • High academic and behavioural expectations
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian values
  • Familiarity with safeguarding
  • Professional demeanour reinforced by school values

Working Terms

  • Hours per week: 21 (TA2) + 1.5 (MDSA)
  • Pattern: Part-time, term-time only
    • Equivalent to:
      • 39 weeks (working)
      • 6.05 weeks (annual leave) (Annual leave increases after 5 years’ continuous service)
  • Prorates salary proportionally due to part-time/term-time only hours
  • Contract: Fixed term, 12 months (until July 2027)
