Teaching Assistant 2 and MDSA (St Michael’s CE Primary School)

Teaching Assistant (TA2) and Lunchtime Supervisor (MDSA)

Contract Details

  • Hours: 17 hours as Teaching Assistant (TA2), 5 hours as Lunchtime Supervisor (MDSA) per week
  • Working Pattern: Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks/year + 6.05 weeks annual leave)
  • Salary: Pro-rated (fixed-term, 12 months)
  • Closing Date: Monday 13 July 2026, noon
  • Interview Date: Thursday 16 July 2026

About the Role

St Michael’s Church of England Primary School has a foundation built on Christian values: Love, Honesty, Forgiveness & Respect, aiming to create a caring, enriching environment for every pupil.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children in a classroom setting (preferably but not exclusively with KS1 pupils)
  • Work as part of a small team to positively impact pupils' education
  • Required strengths:
    • Experience in supporting students, especially those with differing needs (including neurodivergence)
    • Strong understanding of child development
    • Ability to build trust with students, staff, and parents
    • Competency in maths and English
    • High professional standards
    • Commitment to the school’s Christian values -Proficiency in safeguarding procedures
    • A positive, professional approach aligning with the school’s ethos

Additional Information

  • Previous school experience is welcomed but not essential. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are valued.
  • This role follows a 12-month fixed-term contract until July 2027.
  • Must comply with Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.
