Teaching Assistant: KS2 Interventions Lambeth
Location: Lambeth (near Stockwell)
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Contract: Full-time Long-term
Pay: GBP 100-GBP 120 per day (dependent on experience)
Teaching Assistant Opportunity: KS2 Intervention Support
A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a proactive Teaching Assistant to support targeted intervention programmes across Key Stage 2.
This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping pupils build confidence and close learning gaps. Working alongside class teachers and the school's inclusion team, you will deliver structured intervention sessions in reading, writing, and mathematics, supporting pupils who would benefit from additional academic guidance.
The successful Teaching Assistant will become an integral part of the KS2 team, helping pupils make strong progress while promoting independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, You Will
- Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions across Key Stage 2
- Support pupils with literacy, numeracy, and comprehension activities
- Reinforce classroom learning through targeted academic support
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Encourage confidence, resilience, and independent learning
- Help create a calm, focused, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate
The School Is Looking For a Teaching Assistant Who
- Has experience working with primary-aged children
- Is confident delivering targeted learning interventions
- Has good literacy and numeracy skills
- Can motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
- Is organised, reliable, and works well as part of a team
Previous experience in a school or intervention-based role would be advantageous but is not essential.
