Primary Teaching Assistant: Day-to-Day Supply

Location: Plymouth and Surrounding Areas

Pay: GBP 90 - GBP 95 per day (Weekly Pay)

Contract: Day-to-Day Supply (Flexible)

Are you looking for a rewarding role in local Primary schools? Do you want the freedom to choose when and where you work?

We are seeking friendly, energetic Primary Teaching Assistants to join our Plymouth supply team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across various local Primary schools, supporting children from EYFS through to Year 6.

The Day-to-Day Role

As a Primary Supply TA, you will be an essential part of the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Classroom Support: Assisting the teacher with lesson setup and helping pupils stay on task.
  • Core Skills: Supporting small groups with reading, writing, and phonics (KS1) or numeracy and literacy (KS2).
  • Early Years/KS1: Helping younger children learn through play and develop their social skills.
  • Well-being: Providing a supportive environment and helping with lunchtime or playground supervision.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children (schools, nurseries, sports coaching, or youth groups).
  • Energy: Someone who is proactive, approachable, and ready to get stuck in.
  • Key Skills: A good standard of English and Maths to support Primary-aged learners.
  • Requirements: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness for one).
