Teaching Assistant: Sports Enthusiast Wanted: Year 3 Primary School: Haringey

A friendly and inclusive Primary School in Haringey is looking to recruit an energetic Teaching Assistant to work within a Year 3 class. This Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone with a sporting background who can bring enthusiasm, resilience, and positivity into the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the Year 3 class with their day-to-day learning while also providing occasional 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism (ASD). The school is keen to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can use their personality and active approach to help pupils remain engaged, build confidence, and enjoy learning.
Whether your experience comes from coaching football, rugby, athletics, cricket, basketball, martial arts, or another sport, this Teaching Assistant role offers an excellent opportunity to transfer those skills into education.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils within a Year 3 classroom as a Teaching Assistant
- Providing occasional 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism (ASD) as a Teaching Assistant
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement through an active approach
- Supporting learning through small group activities as a Teaching Assistant
- Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team
- Helping pupils develop both academically and socially as a Teaching Assistant
