Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality classroom support to assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Offer dedicated pastoral support, acting as a trusted mentor for students requiring emotional or behavioral guidance.
  • Assist in managing classroom dynamics safely and effectively, promoting positive behavior.
  • Monitor student progress, adapt learning resources, and collaborate with staff on support plans.
  • Contribute to a safe, positive, and encouraging wider school community.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting young people within a secondary school or alternative educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of pastoral care, safeguarding, and student well-being.
  • Excellent communication and de-escalation skills, with the ability to build quick rapport.
  • An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
