Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN) School, Surbiton

Responsibilities
As part of a close-knit team, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist teachers with lesson design, classroom routines, and managing behaviour.
- Help develop communication, independence, and emotional resilience among students.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Create a nurturing, safe environment while supporting children (including those with autism, ADHD, or learning delays).
- Collaborate to adapt resources and materials to meet individual learning needs.
Requirements
We’re looking for:
- No experience is necessary—applying candidates should have:
- A caring, patient demeanour and an commitment to proactive engagement with pupils.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively in a team.
- A genuine desire to help children with additional needs thrive and grow.
