Role: Teaching Assistant
Academy: Outwood Academy Acklam Start Date: 01/09/2026 Salary: £19,286–£19,591 (pro-rated for part-time)
Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week (term time only + 5 days)
About the Role
Are you passionate about removing learning barriers and enabling every student to reach their potential?
Join us as a Teaching Assistant, working directly with teachers to implement tailored learning activities while providing essential academic and welfare support to individuals and small groups.
This exciting role involves:
- Supporting targeted intervention programs, including for students with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) and EAL (English as an Additional Language)
- Assisting in classroom operations and facilitating personalised learning plans
- Offering structured one-to-one and small-group tuition to maximise young people’s potential
- Collaborating with school leadership, pupils, and nongroup adults
