Role: Teaching Assistant

Location: Manchester, M19

Start Date: September

Pay: GBP13.69 - GBP15.87 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

Contract: Long-Term

Reeson Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the M19 area. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time and long-term, starting as soon as possible, and will involve supporting pupils across KS2 classes.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working across different classrooms and supporting pupils with a range of learning needs. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to help deliver engaging lessons and support pupils both academically and socially.

Teaching Assistant: Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will primarily support learning across KS2, assisting class teachers and providing targeted support for pupils who may require additional guidance. The Teaching Assistant will play an important role in helping pupils stay engaged, confident and motivated within the classroom environment.

Teaching Assistant: Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across KS2 as a Teaching Assistant
  • Work alongside teachers to support learning as a Teaching Assistant
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching Assistant
  • Support pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and additional learning needs as a Teaching Assistant
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation as a Teaching Assistant
  • Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment as a Teaching Assistant
  • Encourage pupil engagement and participation as a Teaching Assistant
  • Support behaviour management strategies as a Teaching Assistant
  • Adapt learning resources to suit individual pupil needs as a Teaching Assistant
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies as a Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant: Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
  • Confidence supporting pupils across KS2 as a Teaching Assistant
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills as a Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils as a Teaching Assistant
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness)
