As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to thrive in education, develop essential life skills, and build brighter futures. You will need a driving licence for this role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support learners with SEND to access learning across a range of vocational subjects, including both theory and practical sessions
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learner needs
- Help learners develop confidence, independence, communication and employability skills
- Reinforce learning by adapting resources and providing additional support where required, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage learners to achieve their full potential
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment
- Adapt to timetable changes and provide support across different curriculum areas as required

What We're Looking For
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND
- Experience working with learners with additional needs is desirable, but not essential
- Confidence supporting learners with both written/theory-based work and practical activities
- Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills
- A flexible approach, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although full training and development will be provided for the right candidate
