About Hanbury CE First School
Hanbury CE First School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our thriving team as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (KS2).
Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant (KS2)
- Salary: £18,221 - £18,510 per annum
- Hours: 30 per week (Monday to Friday, 8:40 AM – 3:25 PM)
- Contract: Permanent, term-time plus 5 teaching and education days (TE Days)
About the Role

We are looking for a caring Teaching Assistant to support our Lower Key Stage 2 pupils at Hanbury CE First School. Key Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development through a broad and balanced curriculum aligned with our children-centred ethos
- Work closely with teachers and colleagues to deliver high expectations in academic, social and emotional growth
- Foster a positive and nurturing school environment by building strong relationships with both children and colleagues
- Provide individualised support to meet specific learning needs, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements
- Play an active role in whole-school initiatives, contributing to teamwork and collaboration
- Ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment where diversity is celebrated

Person Specification
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential Criteria
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s growth, both academically and holistically
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, caring attitude
- The ability to work creatively and collaboratively with staff and children
- High standards of behaviour and commitment, with a desire to contribute to the school community
- A positive and engaging approach to creating a supportive classroom environment
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience of working with KS2 pupils
- Knowledge of childcare principles, safeguarding and welfare
- Familiarity with the UK’s educational framework and PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) principles
- Basic grasp of spelling, punctuation and grammar (fluency in written English is not essential but helpful)
