Job Title: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Exeter, Devon
Hours: 08:30 : 15:30, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Salary/Rate: Competitive daily rate (Paid weekly)
Contract Type: Supply, Temporary, Full-Time / Part-Time flexible options
Are you an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant or SEN Specialist looking for flexible supply work in Exeter?
Randstad is currently recruiting dedicated individuals to support primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis. This role offers the perfect balance of rewarding educational support and an excellent work-life balance with a strict 08:30 : 15:30 schedule and no weekend work.
Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Supply 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be matched with local Exeter primary schools to support children with diverse learning needs, including SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH) and behavioural challenges.

- Provide tailored academic support during literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities.
- Implement EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) alongside class teachers.
- Manage sensory breaks and encourage positive social interaction during break times.
- Deliver a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven experience working with children in a primary school, care, or youth work setting (experience as an LSA, TA, or Care Worker is highly desirable).
SEN Awareness: Understanding of special educational needs (ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language delays) is advantageous.
