Role: Teaching Assistant 2 (Temporary Positions, 56.5 hours per week)

Outwood Academy Hasland Hall is an 11–16 academy in Chesterfield, a large and welcoming Derbyshire town. Since joining the Outwood Family of Schools in 2021 as part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, we are a supportive, high-performing academy dedicated to delivering the very best education for every student.

About the Role
We’re seeking a dedicated, high- aspiration Teaching Assistant—someone passionate about learning, determined to make a significant difference in students’ lives, and fully aligned with our core value: ‘Students First’.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and academic support to students under the supervision of the class teacher.
- Assist with individual and group learning tasks, applying proficiency in subject-specific or instructional techniques.
- Support students with extra needs, including those holding EHCP/Special Educational Needs Statements, ensuring tailored, inclusive instruction.
- Improve student engagement, behaviour, and attainment to help close achievement gaps.
- Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a motivated and effective classroom environment.
- Participate in whole-school initiatives to promote equality, safeguarding, and holistic well-being.
