Reeson Education are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive SEN school in Surbiton. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to deliver engaging lessons and tailored support to pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. The ideal Teaching Assistant will bring energy, empathy, and a willingness to learn within a rewarding school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, communication, and social skills
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each pupil's progress

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (SEN experience preferred)
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with children
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
