Teaching Assistant: KS1: Wigan: Full-Time: ASAP Start
Are you a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity?
Do you have experience supporting children in Key Stage 1 and want to make a real difference in the classroom?
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive KS1 team at a well-regarded primary school in Wigan. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, ideal for someone who is passionate about education and child development.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, You Will
- Work closely with the class teacher to support daily teaching and learning
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils who need additional help
- Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Contribute positively to the wider school community

What We're Looking For
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A proactive attitude and commitment to supporting children's development
