Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant

Role: Teaching Assistant (TA) and Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA)


Salary & Hours

  • Salary: £24,796 pro rata (£12.85 per hour)
  • Hours: 16.25 hours per week, mornings only (TA) + 5 hours per week (MDSA, break/lunch duties)
  • Contract: Fixed term until February 2027, possibility of transition to a permanent role
  • Required by: As soon as possible

About the Role

Kersey C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant to support a mixed-age KS2 classroom, as well as assist with break-time and lunch supervision.

Suiteness criteria ✔ KS2 classroom experience (preferred) ✔ Self-contained team player who values collective growth ✔ Energetic with a positive, firm approach to discipline and progress ✔ Strong communication with children, staff, and parents ✔ Adaptable musician across primary age ranges ✔ Warm, professional duo attitude toward safeguarding
