Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Pay Rate

GBP14.25 to GBP16.65 per hour

Contract Type

Full-time, Long-term (chance for perm)


Reeson Education is looking for a caring, enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful and nurturing EYFS setting at a truly fantastic primary school in the heart of M11, Manchester. This EYFS Teaching Assistant role is full-time, long-term, and starts as soon as possible. This EYFS Teaching Assistant role requires you to have a level 3 Qualification.


Role Description

This EYFS Teaching Assistant will be based within the EYFS, supporting in Reception. You will assist with class activities, lead small group interventions, and provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. Key Responsibilities For The EYFS Teaching Assistant

  • Work as an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Reception.
  • Deliver small group interventions, 1:1 support, and general class assistance.
  • Support learning through play, early phonics, and basic number activities.
  • Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide tailored support for children with social, emotional, and developmental needs.

The Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant Will

  • Be a passionate and engaging EYFS Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience and have a level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
  • Have a sound understanding of child development and early years frameworks.
  • Be creative, adaptable, and confident working across different EYFS settings.
  • Be able to support children with a wide range of needs, including SEND.
  • Show excellent teamwork and communication skills.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Recent references covering the last 2-3 years.
  • A genuine passion for working in EYFS as a Teaching Assistant.
