Primary Supply Teaching Assistant : Plymouth : September Start

Are you looking for a professional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupil development? Randstad Education is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our primary supply team for the upcoming academic year, commencing in September 2026. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support various schools across Plymouth, Devon.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional classroom support, assisting teachers with lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
  • Facilitate learning through 1:on:1 sessions or small group work, focusing on core subjects such as reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe, inclusive, and academically stimulating environment for pupils from Reception to Year 6.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by integrating effectively into diverse school environments and professional team dynamics.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience working with children or young people (e.g., youth work, sports coaching, childcare, or educational volunteering).
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to educational support.
  • Must possess an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or demonstrate a willingness to process a new application.
  • Ability to commit to a consistent schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, during term-time.
