Salary & Hours: £22,715.04–£25,002.22 (full-time equivalent £26,527–£28,198 per annum), 36 hours per week during term time only.
About the Role
Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust are seeking a First Graduate Teacher (Teaching Assistant with Qualified Teaching Status where appropriate) to deliver Languages (French/German/Other) on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will contribute to the high-quality languages provision at our primary school, ensuring that students engage with key strands of the National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess in-class Languages tuition in line with the Department for Education’s EYFS/NNS curriculum and statutory requirements for children aged 4–11.
- Contribute to the promotion of modern and classical languages across the school, fostering cultural awareness.
- Collaborate with the Head of Languages and wider pastoral teams to implement effective pastoral care measures for safeguarding needs.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, students, and colleagues to monitor progress and engagement.

Person Requirements
- Degree in the specific Languages specialty (French/German/Other) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- ** Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) to teach in primary schools** (preferably with limits to language subject teaching, relating to the role).
- No experience of teaching Kinder/Primary English required.
- Personal skills match WSRN Mentoring & Behaviour strategies.
- Experience of supporting/training others to implement safeguarding standards.
The contract runs term-time only with a holiday arrangement of 190 days per year.
