Location: Cambridge and surrounding villages

Contract Type: Temporary, Supply, Short-Term, and Long-Term contracts available

Hours: Flexible (Full-time and Part-time options to suit your schedule)

Salary: GBP95 - GBP100 per day (dependent on experience and role complexity)

Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing (Autumn Term 2026)

We are currently recruiting adaptable, enthusiastic, and dependable Teaching Assistants to support a diverse range of primary, secondary, and special educational needs (SEN) schools throughout the Cambridge area. Whether you are looking for day-to-day supply work, a consistent 3-day-a-week role, or a term-long placement, we have options to match your availability.

  • General Classroom TA: Supporting the class teacher, managing behavior, and helping groups of children with their daily learning.
  • 1:1 SEN Support: Working closely with individual students who have additional needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, or Speech and Language difficulties.
  • Intervention TA: Leading small groups in targeted reading, writing, or maths catch-up sessions.
  • Early Years Specialists: Supporting nursery and reception classes with play-based learning and outdoor activities.

What We Are Looking For

Temporary work requires a proactive attitude and the ability to hit the ground running. We welcome applications from experienced educators, graduates looking for school experience, or individuals with a transferable care background.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people (schools, youth clubs, coaching, or care settings).
  • Adaptability: The ability to walk into a new classroom environment and quickly build rapport with students and staff.
  • Reliability: Strong communication and punctuality—schools rely heavily on temporary staff to keep their classrooms running smoothly.
  • Location: Ability to travel to schools within Cambridge (access to public transport or a car is highly beneficial).
  • Safeguarding: A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or the willingness for a new one).
