About The Role
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The role will focus on supporting a Year 2 class, working both one-to-one with pupils who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and delivering small group interventions to help close learning gaps.
You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support students learning, behaviour, and emotional well-being, helping to create an engaging and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Encourage positive learning habits and independence.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Support with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour strategies.

Candidate Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary setting preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Reliable and committed to helping pupils make progress.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness).
