This posting is for a unionized contractual YEARLONG appointment that spans one (1) academic year.

A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Please Note: Applicants must be actively registered McGill graduate students.

Number of Positions: 1

Total Hours of Work per Term: 160 hours total for F26-W27 (80 per term)

Position Summary

This requisition is for one position, at 160 hours total (F26 - 80 hours and W27 - 80 hours), in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Course dates are August 31, 2026 to December 4, 2026 and January 5, 2027 to April 14, 2027. Effective dates of appointment are August 30, 2026 to December 19, 2026 and January 3, 2027 to April 24, 2017, 2026.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. Student (School/Applied Child Psychology Program)
  • Advanced understanding of assessment and testing materials
  • Must have successfully completed this course or EDPC 682D1/D2 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of French may be required
