Teaching Assistant: Calling All Sports Graduates and Coaches: Haringey Primary School
Are you a sporty, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant or an aspiring teacher looking to kick-start your career in education?
A fantastic Primary School in Haringey is searching for an energetic Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 team. This Teaching Assistant role is perfect for someone who believes that teamwork, resilience, and confidence developed through sport can have a huge impact in the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside an experienced Year 3 teacher while also providing occasional 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism (ASD). The school is looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, encourage participation, and inspire children to achieve their best every day.
Whether you've coached football, rugby, athletics, basketball, cricket, or another sport, your transferable skills could make you the ideal Teaching Assistant for this rewarding role.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in a Year 3 classroom as a Teaching Assistant
- Providing occasional 1:1 support for a child with ASD as a Teaching Assistant
- Using sport and positive reinforcement to motivate pupils
- Leading small group activities as a Teaching Assistant
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and the SEND team as a Teaching Assistant
