Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Hours & Working Pattern
- Working hours: 32.5 per week
- Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (39 weeks per year + 6.05 weeks’ annual leave)
- Salary will be pro-rata for part-time/term-time contractors
Hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Closing Date
Friday 31 July 2026, 11.55am.
About the Role
Fletching CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, commencing in September 2026.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Is passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
- Has experience working with primary-aged children (ideally across multiple year groups).
- Can deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions in core subjects such as reading, writing, and maths.
- Collaborates closely with class teachers and the Inclusion Lead to ensure tailored, high-quality support.
- Demonstrates flexibility, creativity, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance children’s learning through targeted interventions.
- Work alongside teachers to plan, deliver, and review educational strategies.
- Provide individual and small-group assistance in core academic areas.
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with both colleagues and parents.
- Engage with the school’s pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities.
