Teaching Assistant / HLTA – KS2 & Intervention Support
Gloucestershire Area
Full-Time | Immediate Start | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
£550 – £595 per week
A welcoming and well-resourced independent school in the Gloucestershire area is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant or HLTA to join its team immediately for the full academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality classroom support across KS2.
- Deliver targeted intervention programmes to individuals and small groups in areas such as literacy, numeracy, phonics, and catch-up learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff to plan, prepare, and adapt learning activities to meet pupil needs.
- Support pupils with varying learning abilities, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to access the curriculum.
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress during intervention sessions.
- Assist in the assessment of pupils and provide valuable feedback to teachers.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support effective learning outcomes.
- As a HLTA, you may be required to lead groups, supervise whole-class learning during teacher absence, and deliver pre-planned lessons where appropriate.
- Support the school's commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing, and high educational standards.

- Experience working within a primary school setting, particularly KS2.
- A HLTA qualification (highly desirable).
- Experience delivering successful intervention programmes and small-group support.
- Strong understanding of primary curriculum expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best.
