Salary - Greenbook 2 band 1 £25,772
25 hours per week with the option for more hours and HLTA rate for Forest School

Join our team at St Mary’s Church of England Nursery and Primary School. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our school community as a Teaching Assistant.
Teaching Assistant 8:30am – 1:30pm
Are you passionate about supporting children to thrive and grow? St Mary’s C of E School is looking for a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to support children in our key-stage 2 class.
We are federated with Madron Daniel C of E Primary School, working closely together as one extended family serving the pupils across both schools. This role is particularly well suited to someone with experience in mixed-age settings and small-group learning support, who is eager to make a meaningful difference in a close-knit school community.
About the Role
- Support the learning and development of individual pupils and small groups
- Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
- Assist with preparing resources, organising activities and maintaining classroom displays
- Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing, providing feedback to teaching staff and the SENCO
- Support pupils during breaks, lunchtimes and educational visits
- Occasionally supervise whole classes to keep pupils safe and on task.

We're Looking for Someone Who...
- Has experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Holds or is working towards an NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Patient, friendly, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children
- Can work well as part of a team
