SCHOOL VACANCY
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within our SEN team to provide support for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan.
The successful candidate will have the skills to work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to ensure that the children are accessing the curriculum and making positive progress with their emotional development and their academic learning. Ideally, you will have some previous experience of working with children with SEND, but most importantly we are looking for someone who is calm, caring and consistent in their approach, who is committed to maintaining our high standards and wants to make a difference, and who is willing to 'go that extra mile’ to better the life chances of our children. The role may involve supervising children over the lunchtime period.
In return, we can offer a supportive working environment, with colleagues who care deeply, are experts in their fields and who are passionate about what they do. We also offer a range of staff benefits, and further details regarding our benefits and information about our Trust can be found here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
