We’re thrilled to offer three Teaching Assistant (Level 2) roles at St Andrew’s CE Primary School, with start dates in September 2026. Join our remarkable team to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives!
Three Available Posts
- Three positions available
- Hours: 29 hrs/week (two roles), 12 hrs/week (one role)
- Salary:
- FTE Grade D3-4: £24,796 (FTE)
- Actual pay for 29-hour roles: £16,304.98
- Actual pay for 12-hour role: £6,746.88
- Schedule: 38 weeks, fixed term until 31/08/2027

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to tailor learning experiences for individual pupils and groups (incl. SEND needs).
- Support instruction in line with the curriculum, fostering enthusiasm for learning.
- Ensure enjoyable, engaging, and stimulating lessons. Apply creative teaching strategies to keep children eager to grow.
- Positive role model – promote discipline, kindness, and respect at all times.
- Help manage small group work and ensure pupils are challenged at their stage of development.
- Monitor and record progress while reporting pupils’ achievements and challenges to teaching staff.
- Assist in pastoral care, social inclusivity, and engagement in school events.
- Maintain school standards for behaviour, safety, and learning environments.
- Promote positive well-being and mental health for children under your care.
About You
It’s important you align with these skills, qualities and values:
Essential Criteria:
✔ A passion for education and hands-on pupil support. ✔ Approachable, friendly, and proactive in classroom settings. ✔ Ability to work flexibly across multiple classes/ages if required. ✔ Strong commitment to safeguarding children, adhering to school policies. ✔ pozitive attitude towards the educational values of a Church school.
Desirable Experience:
- Core-aged or SEN teaching experience (a plus, but not essential).
- Working knowledge of common children’s school challenges (behaviour, literacy gaps, etc.).
- Positive track record in nurturing relationships for children with varying needs.
