Teaching Assistant & MDSA at Alderbury and West Grimstead Church of England Primary School

Location & Contract

  • Address: Firs Road, Alderbury, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP5 3BD
  • Contract Type: Fixed Term
  • Working Hours:
    • Teaching Assistant: Mon–Fri, 8.45am–3.15pm
    • MDSA (Mid-Day Supervision Assistant): Mon–Fri, 12.00pm–1.00pm
  • Salary & Pro rata:
    • Teaching Assistant (Grade D, 4-6): £25,185–£25,989 p/a (FTE) – £14,546–£15,011 p/a (pro rata ~25.8 hrs)
    • MDSA (Grade B3): £24,796 p/a (FTE) – £2,808 p/a (pro rata ~5 hrs)
  • Term: Until 31st August, 2027
  • Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday 5th July, 2026
  • Interview Date: Wednesday, 8th July 2026
  • Start Date: September 2026

About This Role

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and creative Teaching Assistant & MDSA to support early learning and lunchtime safety while fostering a thriving school community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting young learners (e.g., confidence, curiosity, foundational skills in early education).
  • Ensuring child safety and happiness during lunchtimes and playtimes.
  • Collaborating with teaching teams to deliver engaging lessons.

Note: This is a linked role—continuation of both duties is mandatory.
