Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Company Description

Catch22 is a modern and progressive organisation where 1,300 colleagues and 300 volunteers work across education, social justice, and rehabilitation, supporting over 60,000 individuals from cradle to career.

Our Catch22 Include schools provide an alternative to mainstream schooling for vulnerable young people—particularly those with complex challenges such as exclusions, social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), and special educational needs (SEN). We focus on helping 5–11-year-olds build social, behaviour, and academic skills to re-engage with education and progress safely.

Our experienced team delivers high-quality education, support, and rehabilitation to young people who have struggled in mainstream classrooms. By fostering partnerships with local authorities, parents, and external agencies, we create positive pathways into education and employment.

Join us and help shape the lives of our young learners.

Job Description

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will make a direct impact on the learning and development of vulnerable children who face significant challenges in engaging with education.

Within Catch22 Include schools, you will support young people aged 5–11 years—many of whom have previously been excluded or struggled in mainstream schools. By addressing behavioural and academic barriers early, we help learners progress successfully past the stage of exclusion.

You’ll work as part of a small, purposeful team, offering a personalised, high-support approach to education. Your role could be pivotal in the early improvement of challenging behaviour and academic development.

Would you like to join us? As a Teaching Assistant (LA Trained/CVA), your contribution will be vital in guiding our students towards academic success, emotional stability, and a brighter, more secure future.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
