Our students are kind, funny and have huge potential; for the right candidate Oasis Academy Brislington is an incredibly rewarding place to work.

Oasis Academy Brislington are seeking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our mainstream SEND team. The successful candidate will be able to provide holistic support to the students they work with including learning support, emotional and well-being support and communication and interaction support.

Our teaching assistants are supported by our highly experienced SENDCo and Specialist Lead TA who lead the team with knowledge, passion and a relentless drive to ensure SEND learners secure parity of achievement with their peers. KS4 outcomes for our young people with an EHCP were above national average in 2025; a testament to the excellent support that they received and our ‘unapologetically ambitious' curriculum for all learners.

Leaders at Oasis Brislington recognise and value the skills and commitment from our teaching assistants and we have put in place a robust programme of Professional Development to ensure that they have the same opportunities for development as their teaching colleagues. Within the SEND team there are opportunities for career development through our Lead TA role model; something which we are happy to expand upon at the interview stage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
