Teaching Assistant (PMLD)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant (PMLD) skilled in behaviour management and passionate about creating a positive learning environment?
Academics is excited to offer a long-term supply role for a Teaching Assistant (PMLD) in a supportive school in Birkenhead, Wirral.
As a Teaching Assistant (PMLD), you will:
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities that align with students' specific learning requirements.
- Supporting students with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Using specialized equipment and techniques to facilitate communication and learning, such as sensory tools and assistive technology.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress and well-being to provide feedback to teachers and caregivers.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages participation and fosters independence.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and parents, to meet holistic care goals.
