  • Salary: £24,796 per annum pro rata (£12.85 per hour)
  • Hours: 30 hours per week, 8.45am – 3.15pm, Monday – Friday, term time only
  • Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible
  • Reference: 5297

About the Role

Honington CE Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing, working closely with class teachers to help all children access the curriculum and achieve their best.

What will the job entail?

  • Supporting children in class
  • Working with individuals and small groups
  • Helping to deliver planned interventions
  • Preparing resources
  • Supporting children during the wider school day

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with learning, behavior, and wellbeing
  • Work with teachers to deliver planned activities and interventions
  • Help create a calm, positive, and purposeful classroom
  • Encourage children’s confidence, independence, and positive relationships
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Requirements

  • A good standard of English and maths, ideally GCSE grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children, or the skills and attitude to succeed in the role
  • To be warm, flexible, positive, and able to work well as part of a team
