Teaching Assistant - Russell Group Graduates Required

A fantastic Primary School in the Borough of Tower Hamlets are on the hunt for high-achieving Teaching Assistants for a September 2026 start. These are full-time, long-term posts for the full academic year.

The school are looking to recruit the next batch of exceptional graduates to inspire pupils, raise attainment and support children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

The Head Teacher is eager to find top-tier graduates who currently hold 1st Class or 2:1 degrees from Russell Group Universities, alongside strong A Levels & GCSEs. The school are particularly keen to hear from graduates who are aspiring Primary Teachers and are looking to gain invaluable classroom experience before progressing onto teacher training.

  • Primary Teaching Assistant - EYFS
  • Primary Teaching Assistant - KS1
  • Primary Teaching Assistant - KS2
  • Primary Teaching Assistant - English & Literacy
  • Primary Teaching Assistant - Maths Intervention

  • Primary Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

JOB DESCRIPTION

Teaching Assistant

Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Primary Teaching Assistant - Year group dependent
  • Range of opportunities to excel across the school within a specialist support role
  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Carrying out English, Maths, Phonics and Reading intervention sessions
  • Supporting pupils in class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping stretch higher-attaining pupils and support those working below age-related expectations
  • Supporting pupils with confidence, communication and independent learning
  • Opportunity to support pupils with mild SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and Speech & Language needs

Dates

  • September 2026 start
  • Full-time and long-term post

Pay

  • £110 - £115 per day

Location

  • Located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a reputable University
  • Russell Group University graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Strong A Levels & GCSEs across the board
  • You must be an aspiring Primary Teacher
  • Must be willing to go above and beyond daily for the pupils
  • Confidence, resilience and enthusiasm are key throughout
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential
  • You must be able to engage, motivate and support pupils of all abilities
  • A genuine passion for education, inclusion and pupil development
