Teaching Assistant: Havering

Teaching Assistant
SEN: Autism, Learning Difficulties
Key Stages: 3 and 4
Location: Large Specialist School
Pay: Competitive daily rate
Support: Ongoing support and training

A large SEN School in Havering is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a long-term to permanent post.

The Successful Applicant Will Have

  • A background in Schools SEN support, Community and Care, or Youth Worker.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work with a range of special needs.
  • Ability to work 1:1 with students, building rapport and feeding back to teachers.
  • Good knowledge of Safeguarding in Schools.
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills, and being a team player.
  • PECS/Makaton/Signalong/Team Teach or any SEN specific training is desirable but not essential.
