Overview
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31 August 2027.
Pay Grade: Grade D3 to D4 Full-Time Salary: £24,796 to £25,185 Actual Salary (for 17.50 hrs/week over 39 weeks): £10,076.72 to £10,235.04
Hours: 17.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 12:45pm (includes lunch cover). Starting Date: 1 September 2026

Role Description
We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant (SEN) who is:
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional
- Committed to addressing the learning and pastoral needs of primary children
- Capable of supporting and supervising pupils in the classroom environment
- Fully supportive of helping teachers implement pupil education
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring pupils feel happy, confident, and able to learn.
- Assisting with pupil behaviour management, including understanding and implementing strategies to tackle challenging behaviour with respect and empathy in alignment with our Behaviour Policy.
- Building trusting and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to the school’s Code of Conduct.
- Supporting the school's values and Christian ethos, recognising the unique potential of every child.
- Participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), including required training such as First Aid and annual Safeguarding/Child Protection courses.
