All Saints CE Primary School
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team and help our pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The role involves supporting children across the school for 13 hours per week.
This position is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent appointment in the future. Please note that permanency cannot be guaranteed and will be dependent on future organisational requirements.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher, supporting teaching and learning and making effective use of available resources to ensure the highest possible standards of progress and achievement for pupils. Experience of working with children with SEMH needs and those who demonstrate low engagement in learning would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils’ learning within the classroom
- Delivering planned interventions to individuals or small groups
- Facilitating learning in a way that promotes increasing independence
- Implementing the school’s behaviour policy to provide consistent support
- Providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ progress and attainment
- Assisting in the preparation and creation of appropriate learning resources
- Building positive, supportive relationships with pupils and their parents/carers
- Engaging children in short, focused, and purposeful learning activities
