Teaching Assistant SEND

Oasis Academy Warndon is looking to appoint a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our supportive team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. You will play a key role in supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), delivering targeted interventions and promoting positive wellbeing, independence and inclusion throughout the school.
About The Role
Working closely with teachers, HLTAs and the SEND team, you will:
- Deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP and individual learning targets.
- Support pupils within the classroom and through small-group or one-to-one interventions.
- Help pupils access learning by adapting activities and providing appropriate scaffolding.
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence, independence and self-esteem.
- Support pupils with additional needs including speech and language, pastoral and communication needs.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans and Personal Care Programmes where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Supervise and support pupils during learning activities and on educational visits where required.
- Promote the Academy's vision, values and commitment to inclusion.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working with children in a learning or childcare setting.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A positive, flexible and adaptable approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong empathy and commitment to supporting children from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
