Teaching Assistant - St Lawrence CE Primary School
Level 2 Teaching Assistant (SBMAT406)
Position: Permanent, Term Time Only (20hrs/week)
Salary:
- FTE Annual: £25,585 – £25,989
- Actual (20hrs): £11,895 – £12,083
Location: St Lawrence CE Primary, Telford
Requirements to Start: September 2026
Hours: 20 hours per week Timings: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 3:15 pm
About the Role
The St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support learning at Tibberton CE Primary School. The ideal candidate will be a child-centred practitioner with the expertise to:
- Support the raising of standards in education
- Work effectively with children with special educational needs (SEN)
- Provide inspirational leadership to children
- Have high expectations for all pupils
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Core Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Assist in classrooms to enhance learning experiences for children, particularly those with complex needs
- Support small-group instruction under the guidance of teachers
- Act as a strong role model to inspire pupils’ development
- Contribute to a positive school culture and collaborative teaching environments
- Adapt to individual learning needs across diverse academic backgrounds

Requirements
Candidates must:
- Have proven experience as a Teaching Assistant
- Bring expertise in SEN support
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities
- Commit to high expectations and inclusive practices
- Undergo enhanced DBS checks, safeguarding vetting, and professional references
